Congratulations to the team of Mary McEnteggart (bar supervisor), Corinne Kim (golf shop attendant), Chris Schifano (greenkeeper) and Andrew Kirkman (general manager) who won the inaugural staff golf championship on Thursday 11th September. Mary has been an important part of The Lakes Team for over 18 years and “thoroughly enjoyed my first game, especially the three birdie putts I made!” The fun 9 holes of golf was a 4 person ambrose competition with many staff venturing onto the golf course for the first time.
The golf was followed by a special dinner that included an update on the recently completed Star Workplace Program. Similar the comprehensive Member Survey that was completed earlier this year, management engaged a consultant to conduct a comprehensive Staff Survey in June/July. The survey was optional and it was pleasing to have 84% of the staff complete the anonymous online survey. The extensive feedback received is being actioned at present and the golf championship and dinner is one example.
