Street takes Lakes Bronze Salver title as Cheng claims Handicap Tray

Asquith Golf Club’s Carmel Street has won the 2015 edition of The Lakes Bronze Salver, shooting the low round of the day with a gross score of 102. Street won by the slimmest of margins from Chatswood Golf Club’s Evelyn Lim, who had a gross score of 103.

Meanwhile in The Lakes Handicap Tray, Bonnie Doon’s Jackey Cheng (31) took top honors with a nett score of 75, pipping NSW Golf Club member Phylia Simos (27) by 2 shots to claim the trophy.

The Ladies enjoyed a stunning day to conduct their battle for the championships, with calm, sunny and comfortable conditions, meaning that an otherwise stern Lakes course didn’t get to bear it’s teeth with too much ferocity. Overall the Ladies expressed their delight at a fun and eventful day, with many already stating that they were looking forward to the 2016 edition!
