Due to the course having received 180mm of rain since 5.30am Friday morning the golf course will be closed for play today.
The course is severely damaged with standing water on most holes. The tunnel to the 2nd hole is flooded with no access to holes 2 – 8 possible at this stage.
The driving range is closed as the artificial turf is under water and there is no way to get to the ropes. This might clear during the day but the driving range will remain closed until 12pm and if the water clears will be open until 5pm this afternoon.
We are also experiencing difficulty with the phone lines with very poor connection.
