The final Game.
Unfortunately, The Lakes team were unable to qualify for the Finals, narrowly missing out this season. The Lakes competed in Division 2 which included some of the toughest teams in the JNJG Pennant series. In the end, the NSW team goes through to the finals. The final match at Moore Park was against the St Michael’s (1) team who defeated The Lakes 4/2.
We have been building a good foundation with our juniors, who I’m sure within the next few years will be very successful junior players that develop into tough, resilient, major pennant players. The future is very bright for these teenagers who bring so much energy and commitment to the game and who strive to represent The Lakes to the absolute best of their ability.
I would like to thank Teaching Professional Charles Kares for all his help during the season. And thanks goes to all the Mums and Dads for delivering, picking up, supporting, consoling and caddying for the team.
Most of all, I’m very proud of the young adults that represent our club. They are the most well mannered kids who are respectful of their team mates and their opponents. They are always willing to listen and learn new skills to hone their craft.
We need to support our grass roots and have more children like this in the club.
Thank you
Benny Xu , Jordan Ribarovski, Rebecca Zhao, Irene Kaloudis, Selena Bosevski, Hugo Levy and Morgan Fincher.
