Congratulations to our committed team of Lakes ladies who won the invitational challenge on Friday 14th November. The final score was: The Lakes 977 / The Grange 910, a substantial victory. The heat soared well into the 30’s on Friday and made for an extremely challenging day on the course. Thankfully some bubbly beverages were ready at the completion of the round prior to the delicious dinner in the Clubhouse.
Our stars over the two days were Lorinda Hardjono, winner on Thursday with 40 points and Julia Bowen winner on Friday with an amazing 42 points off a handicap of 4. Julia played 2-under par. Our most consistent player was Rosemary Stone who played off 9 and scored 38 points each day. Fabulous scoring!
Our many thanks to the organisers, Nancy Harwood, Rhonda Triguboff and Kim Archer. Once again, a successful invitational and we look forward to next year. The Lakes has now won the cup 7 out of the 8 times played!
