All Members who would like to contribute to the development of the Clubhouse Masterplan are invited to attend the Member Forum at the Club at 6:00pm on Wednesday 11 May. This forum is a critical part of the architects information generation and research stage to lay the platform on which the masterplan will be developed. Ideas and suggestions from Members are encouraged so that the architects can best understand the improvements we see as important in the enjoyment of our Clubhouse.
As communicated last month, to assist the board and management in ensuring our Clubhouse continues to provide our Members and their guests with the quality and array of facilities one should expect at one of the leading Clubs in Australia, a Clubhouse Masterplan is to be developed. The Clubhouse was built in 2005 at a cost of $10M and is a major asset that is required for the Club to achieve its vision of providing a world class golfing experience in a relaxed and friendly environment. The priority principles the Board have identified to achieve are:
- Create more of a special or warmer feeling/experience for any person using the Clubhouse.
- Provide Members with increased functionality/usability of the upstairs level of the Clubhouse food and beverage areas.
The Board has sought and considered proposals from four well respected architectural/design firms and resolved to appoint the firm INARC. The team from INARC are a highly credentialed award winning firm that were recently recognised for their outstanding work in designing and managing our reciprocal club Huntingdale Golf Club’s new Clubhouse.
Given the timing of the member forum, a Carvery Dinner will be available from 5:00pm.
If you are unavailable to make the meeting however wish to provide suggestions or input for consideration please email to Lena at Reception: reception@thelakesgolfclub.com.au
