Concrete pathways on holes 6 and 18

In September 2014 the new concrete pathways adjacent to the 6th green and the 18th tee were poured. The concrete we ordered was supposed to be sandy coloured similar to our sandy wastes. The concrete looks nothing like we ordered; the concrete supplier has recognised that they failed to ensure the correct colour dosage was inputted. After months of research to try and identify a solution, the decision has been made by the Board to have the grey concrete removed and the correct sandy coloured concrete re-poured. This will be at no additional expense to the Club.

To ensure a repeat mistake does not occur Members may notice that a test patch of the correct concrete has been poured on the path between the 1st green and the tunnel to ensure it is the right colour. In two weeks we will inspect the concrete when it has had time to settle and if it meets our requirements we will schedule the removal and repour of the two paths, which will possibly commence on 2nd March and take up to three weeks to complete, weather permitting. To minimise further inconvenience to Members the existing bitumen path adjacent to the 18th tee will also be replaced with the coloured concrete. We appreciate your patience during this process.
