On Friday 13th February, all those new members who had joined the Club in the last 12 months were invited to attend The Lakes inaugural New Member Golf & Cocktail Party! Approximately 30 players enjoyed champagne on arrival in the Holder Room and then played 9 holes of golf with either a member of the Board, Ladies Committee, or Management team.
Congratulations to new member Hong Xu, Tony Xu (Hong’s proposer), Matt Carter (Chairman of Membership), and Christian Gillott (Assistant Manager) for winning the 9 hole golf event with an impressive score of 45 points! (teams of four, two best scores to count).
Well done to Ronan Hee and Robyn Wakefield winning the nearest to the pin with their outstanding shots into the back left tucked pin on the 9th green.
The Board, Lady Captain, Management Team, and all of the new members and proposers that participated in the evening thoroughly enjoyed the unique opportunity to share 9 holes of golf, canapes and drinks with each other.
