The ladies Club Championships started today, hopefully everyone played well and all ladies are looking forward to the final stroke round next week. The Kerrie Cripps, Bronze Salver & Veterans event will be finalised after the first two stroke rounds.
The Sunday Championships are also underway and the final round will be held 18th October. Good luck to all the ladies.
The Veteran Visitors Day is being held this Friday 9th October. It’s not too late to book in. The cost of the day is $40 for members (including competition fees and lunch) and $65 per visitor (includes green fees, competition fees and lunch). If you have forgotten to organise a visitor you are still able to play with other members. The member only prizes will be golf balls.
‘Friendship Day’, the ladies annual event played against New South Wales golf club is being held at The Lakes on Monday 26th October. Also the Rose Bowl is approaching, a similar event between The Lakes and Bonnie Doon which will be held at Bonnie Doon on Friday 20th November. There is still space remaining to compete in both these events and if you would like to join The Lakes team please add your name to the lists in the ladies locker room.
Breakfast was held on Tuesday 29th September and there were 11 ladies that attended. It’s a great way to start the day and a great way to catch up with all the golfers, not just your playing partners. Remember it is on the last Tuesday of the month.
Tuesday competition times will continue to commence from 8:30am up until the completion of the formal ladies program in mid-November. The Ladies Friday competition will commence from 8:00am, as it has during winter, all year round.
