Each year, The Lakes fixtures have included the Golf NSW Women’s Fourball Championship event.
In 2019 this event has been replaced with the NSW Ambrose Championship, an event designed to be a fun day shared on social media with some clubs choosing fancy dress or fund raising for charity included on the day.
The dates set aside for the Golf NSW event are Friday 19th July for midweek and Sunday September 22nd for the Sunday ladies.
The conditions of the competition are;
Qualifying stages are a 2 person ambrose,
Handicap is ¼ of combined Daily Handicaps
Players must use 6 tee shots each & be clearly marked on the score card
A minimum combined handicap of 8
No more than 20 strokes difference between playing handicaps of each pair
$5 entry fee per player
Best pair (Tuesday+Sunday) will progress to Regional Finals.
Winning Regional Final pairs progress to the State Final at Bonville Golf Resort December 9th and 10th, 2019
